Choosing between the Claude tiers
The 1.25x and 6.25x tiers differ by usage, not by model. Here is how to tell which one you actually need.

Both tiers reach the same models. What changes is how much you may send before the limit applies, which is why the cheaper tier is not a cut-down product.
If you hit a limit less than once a week, the standard tier is the honest answer and we would rather say so than sell you the larger one.
