How Claude billing works at Tools Lab

Claude seats are billed on a cycle that starts on the 2nd of one month and ends on the 2nd of the next. The end date belongs to the next cycle, so a cycle never overlaps.

The first period

If you buy inside a running cycle, you pay for the calendar days that remain. Buying on the 2nd gives you the whole cycle; buying the day before the cycle ends gives you exactly one billable day.

Renewals

After the first period, every renewal is a whole cycle at the full amount unless a discount has been approved for your account.

The number you see is calculated on the server, once, and rounded once. Nothing is estimated in the browser.
